Congratulations to Schenectady High School Junior Swimmer Maxwell Bent, who recently finished 21st in the 100 yard breaststroke at the state meet held at the Nassau County Aquatic Center March 4-6.
“We are all excited with this place and hope to build off of it next season in his senior year,” said Coach Brian Melanson.
Bent and his teammates swam in Sectional finals last month where he qualified for the state meet in both the breaststroke and the 50-yard freestyle.
Nine of the 13 Schenectady swimmers and divers who competed in the Sectional meet, advanced to sectional finals.
William Aulet also had a great performance in Sectionals. He was the first diver to make finals in over two years.
Bent and teammates Malcolm Chank, Talell McDuffie and Lucas Bogdanowicz-Wilson missed qualifying to swim in the 200 Freestyle relay at the state meet by less than a second.
